Taj Mahal

It is the most beautiful wonder of India and it is on the first position in this list.Taj Mahal is situated in the bank of Yamuna river in Agra.It was built in 16 th century.By the Mughal Emperors  Shah Jahan.It is an ivory white marbal mausoleum .It is said that it take around 16 years to complete it .

      It was built in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal who died on 17 June at the age of 34 while given birth of his 14th child Gauhara Begam.

  • The calligraphy in the Taj Mahal is the most beautiful calligraphy of all time.
  • Stone used in the construction of Taj Mahal was carried from different states and countries.
  • It is the most advance building of that time it's architecture is very advance .
  • It is a seven storeys building .It have four floor above the ground and three flour under the ground
  • It was designed by 37 most talented architecture of that time

Gomateshwara Temple in Karnataka

On second no we have the tallest monalithic statue of God Bahubali .It was situated in the Vindhyagiri hills Shravana belagola in karnataka .


 It is one of the biggest ditached statue of the world .It is the statue of king Bahubali who is the son of Rishabhanatha.This place is one of the most sacred place of jainism .


Interesting Facts about Gomateshwara 

  • it is the second highest statue and it's height is about  57 feet 17m.
  • It was built by Chamundaye minister of  Ganga King Rajmalla in 983 AD.
  • It is also known for Mahamastakabhishekam which is held in every 12 year during this the image of lord Gomateshwara is bathed in curd, ghee, milk,saffron and offered gold coins.

Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh

The third wonder of India is khajuraho temple in Chhatarpur distict in Madhya Pradesh .It is a group of combination temples of Hindus and Jainism.These temples are build between 950-1050 .In 12 'th century it has a combination of 85 temples which spreads in 20 km area.



Interesting facts about Khajurao temple

  • These temples are built by the Chandoly King between the period of 950 -1050.
  • It is well known for it's nagara style architecture.
  • It has some popular temples such as Mahadev kandariya temple which is 107 feet tall.

Konark Sun Temple

It is one of wonders of India.It is well known for it's struture.It was dedicated to the Hingu God Surya.It was built in 13 th century by King Narshimhadev from Eastern Ganga Dynasty.The temple was commissioned by the king while Samantaraya Mahapatra  was one of the incharge of it's construction.

  • This temple was dedicated to the Hindu God Surya.
  • A line written by Rabindranath Tagore about this temple is "Here the language of store surpasses the language of man".
  • It is known for it's impressive Kalinga architecture  that includes a depiction of a 100 ft high chairot being pulled by horses and wheel carved out of a single stone.
  • The best thing is that the first ray of sunlight falls on the interence of temple.
  • It was one of the UNESCO world heritage site.

Nalanda University in Bihar

It is the second oldest university of India which is situated in Maghad (now known as bihar) .The site of Nalanda is located in the Bihar about 95 km south east of Patna.
It is one of the best university of world  Student comes from all over the world to study in it.At that time there are 10,000 student and 2,000 teachers are living in it.

Hampi Temple

It is situated in the bank of  Tungabhadra  river in the Eastern of karnataka. It is known for it group of monument .It spread over 4100 hectre.In previous time it is known as Vijay Nagar which is one of the greatest and most powerful distict of that time.

It is also known as Pampa Kshetra another name of goddess Parvati .It is that place where she Austerity for God Shiva and make him ready for marriage.

Golden Temple  in Punjab

It is one of the holiest Pilgrimage site for Sikkism.It is situated in Amritsar ,Punjab.It is also known as Shri  Harmandir Sahib.It is designed by the 5'th Sikh guru Guru  Arjun.It is complete in year 1601.It is opened for all religion 's person.
